Inhalers Can Exacerbate Asthma Symptoms?


Inhalers are often used to relieve nasal congestion. Using, inhalers is effective, but it has some risks to children’s health especially those with asthma. The study that published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, showed the use of inhalers in Children and adults who have asthma because they carried the disease from their parent (inheritance) , will be riskier 30% have asthma symptoms.

When compared with children who have asthma because of inheritance, but not use inhaler everyday, shortness of breath was more frequent in children who breathe inhalers every day. The study involved 1182 people aged between 3 to 22 years.

This study showed that asthma can be more severe on a person who has asthma because of inheritance and breath inhaler that contain albuterol. Albuterol mostly used on inhaler. Albuterol usually sold with name like, Ventolin, Proventil, and Pro Air. Inhaler is used to ease breathing in asthma sufferers, not for daily use. Thus, be careful in using your inhaler, because if you used it every day it will cause negative effects that aggravate asthma suffered.
