In fact, many of celebrities wear this cute cat icon, just call it Paris Hilton and sister Nicky, Cameron Diaz, Avril Lavigne, Lady Gaga, and Miley Cyrus. The history of Hello Kitty was begun in Japan. In 1974, Ikuko Shimizu (a designer) was requested by Sanrio Company to create an animal cartoon that can highlight a preteen girl aura in everyone. Then Hello Kitty became best success in Japan. In 1976, it was brought to the US.

Actually, Hello Kitty is a nick name. Her surname is Kitty White. She lives with her family, namely, his father George White, his mother Mary White, and her twin sister Mimmy White. I bet you wonder why Hello Kitty an originally Japanese character has a very English name? Yup, by the creator Hello Kitty and her family are not Japanese; in fact they live in the suburbs outside London. Then how to distinguish between Kitty and her twin sister? It's easy, Mimmy always wears a yellow bow on her right ear, while Kitty wears a red bow on the left. Hello Kitty started dating when she was 19 years old. Ouch, is it too long for a sweet girl like her? This was because in 1993 (19 years after Kitty was born), Sanrio created a handsome cat named Dear Daniel to accompany her.




Today, Hello Kitty icon can be found on many products, such as bags, shoes, clothes, jewelry. Don’t you think it's cheap, because Hello Kitty jewelry made by famous designers cost thousands of US dollars.
